Sandbags for Events, Markets & Tent Rentals in Montréal

How events & tents teams in Montréal use sandbags

Wind is the number-one risk to outdoor events, and many event permits require weights on every tent leg. Farmers’ markets, festivals, wedding planners and tent rental companies use canopy weight bags and dark-coloured sandbags to secure pop-up canopies, frame tents, stage truss, banners and backdrops on grass, asphalt and indoor floors alike, without stakes or trip-prone guy lines.

Montréal had a population of 1,762,949 in the 2021 Census. In Québec, the spring thaw raises the St. Lawrence, Ottawa, Rivière des Prairies and Saint-François rivers, and riverside homeowners typically prepare sandbags from March onward.
